Everything you need to know about Invincible VS’s open beta: dates, characters, platforms, and tips to get in early.

Open Beta of Invincible VS Unveiled: When and How to Jump In

If you’ve been itching to throw down as Invincible, Omni-Man, or one of the many brutal fighters in the mix, your moment has finally arrived. Invincible VS, the hyper-violent, 3v3 tag-combat game based on the hit comic and Prime Video series, is serving up its Open Beta from April 9 to April 11, 2026. What to expect, how to get in—and what to do once you’re there—all laid out below.

What’s the Open Beta & Why You Should Care

The Open Beta of Invincible VS is a global, at-home playtest for console players that begins April 9 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time and ends on April 11 at 9:00 PM PT. It’s both a hype-building run up to the full release on April 30, 2026 and a chance for the devs to stress-test Ranked matchmaking, netcode, and other core systems before launch. It’s your chance to get familiar with the mechanics and leave your signature mark early.

Platforms, Features & Roster

This beta is available exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC or Steam access yet—though PC is confirmed for full launch. During these ~2 days, you’ll be able to choose from 10 characters—including series staples such as Invincible, Atom Eve, Omni-Man, Rex Splode, Thula, Battle Beast, Robot, Monster Girl, Bulletproof, and the newly revealed Allen the Alien. Playable across six arenas inspired by the show, you’ll be able to try out Ranked Matches (with placement), Practice Mode, and a full tutorial sequence to get you up to speed. Local versus couch-co-op? Not yet—it’s all about online competition for this beta.

Rewards and What Carries Over (Hint: Not Much)

There’s a little something for everyone who joins: jump in at any point during the beta and you’ll unlock a free character skin for use in the full game. Plus, the top 20 players in Ranked Mode will get their names forever immortalized in the final game credits as “Beta Beasts.” Fair warning though—your Ranked rank, leaderboard placement, and other progress won’t carry over. Only the free beta-skin reward does.

Want In? How to Join the Beta

  • On Xbox Series X|S or PS5, go to your console’s store once the beta is live—April 9 at 10 AM PT—and download the “Invincible VS Open Beta.”
  • Want peace of mind? Check your store several times—sometimes the beta shows up early or needs a manual refresh.
  • Join the community discussion on Discord or X (formerly Twitter), especially if you want early heads-ups on patches, surprises, or if something isn’t working as expected.
  • Pre-orders aren’t required to access the open beta—but if you are in early, you can also unlock additional content when the full game launches.

The Big Picture: Full Launch & What Comes After

The full game of Invincible VS is set to fully launch on April 30, 2026, across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. At launch, the roster expands to 18 fighters, with four additional characters coming via the Year One Pass. Expect cross-platform features, showcase storytelling moments pulled from the comic and show, and competitive systems aimed at both casual and hardcore fighting game fans.

Quick Stats Round-Up

  • Open Beta period: April 9, 10 AM PT to April 11, 9 PM PT
  • Playable platforms during beta: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
  • # of beta characters: 10 out of 18 launching characters
  • Game modes included: Tutorial, Practice, Ranked (no local/offline modes yet)
  • Progress that carries over: only the beta-free skin; nothing else

Tips to Make the Most of It

To get ready, practice in the tutorial so you can jump into Ranked with confidence. With player counts lower early on, you’ll likely hit early matchmaking pretty fast—so early participants will be playing against more random skill levels. Recording your matches, giving feedback, and reporting bugs can help shape the final game. And of course, explore all 10 arenas and experiment with different combos—this is a unique chance to feel out the core systems before tweaks and balancing hit after launch.

Mark your calendar, charge your controller, and get ready—Invincible VS’s Open Beta is your gateway into brutal tag-team superhero combat like you’ve never fought before.
